The United States values its membership in the OECD, particularly in areas that require multilateral cooperation to solve international problems such as combating bribery and tax evasion. The OECD provides an international forum for the U.S. Government to be proactive in addressing a number of key policy areas that affect the economic and social well-being of Americans, both home and abroad. So effective has the OECD been that it has become a forum of choice for advancing the United States' Transformational Diplomacy goals.

The following represents the United States' current work areas of priority at the OECD:
